Helping couples navigate their way through difficulties and building deeper connections for stronger & healthier relationships
A place for couples to feel more connected, find each other and explore their relationship
Or, do you feel your relationship is healthy and happy but would like to strengthen certain areas? (Let's normalise seeking couples counselling to strengthen as well as navigating difficult times!)
When working together, I will provide you with the space to nourish your connection and relationship with your partner. We can take a look at these patterns and find a route out. We can look at communication to find what works for you both to help you feel more connected.
I understand that looking for a counsellor can feel a bit daunting. You might be feeling a bit nervous or overwhelmed, especially if it's something you haven't done before. Perhaps you're wondering if counselling can actually help or if what you're experiencing warrants counselling in the first place. These thoughts and questions are normal when first thinking about counselling and you're not alone in wondering.
If you have any questions at all, please do get in touch by emailing jess@mindfulconnections.co.uk, my inbox is always open and I'm happy to answer any queries.
I'm an integrative counsellor which means I draw upon a variety of counselling approaches. This is to ensure that I am using the best approach that suits you as every couple and indvidual have different needs.
I am registered with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society and adhere to their ethical guidelines.
I am studying towards a Diploma in Clinical Sexology & Relationship Therapy (psychosexual therapy). It will allow me to work on a deeper level with couple's and individuals who are looking to explore sexual difficulties and the sexual intimacy in their relationships. I will be looking for specific areas to work with during the 2 year course so please get in touch if you have any questions or would like to work with me.
Whilst there has been a small shift over recent years, many of us still find it difficult to talk about sex - even with our partners. If we feel we are unable to talk to anyone, it can leave us feeling isolated and disconnected and I am passionate about creating a space for you to explore any subject in the counselling room, leaving you feeling more connected.
I understand in couples counselling, it can be common for one person to be more motivated to start counselling whilst the other may feel more hesitant. This too, is very normal. I am here to create equal space in the counselling room for every person so they feel they have a chance to explore what they want and where they can feel truly heard and understood.
Working together I can help you gain greater insight into the difficulties you are facing, help you understand why you act or react to them the way you do, and see how you can start to make better, heathier choices moving forward.
People come to me for a wide range of issues. Here are a few of the more common
difficulties that can be supported:
Infidelity
Feelings of stress or anxiety
Issues relating to sex
Relationship problems
Identity and sexuality confusion
Addictions
Abuse
Stress
Depression
Grief, loss or bereavement
Relationship/personal growth

My goal is to establish a safe, accepting space for individuals and couples to collaboratively navigate their emotions, thoughts, and relationships without fear of judgment. I will be here to support you and help you move forward so you can find the path that's right for you.
I offer a free 20 minute initial consultation over the phone so we can look at your reasons for reaching out to counselling, any goals that you may want to achieve and you can ask me any questions that you may have.
Sessions last 50 minutes for individuals and an hour for couples. Individual sessions are £50 each and £65 per session per couple. I do have a few spaces for low income/students so please do reach out if you want to learn more about this.
To start with, we will ideally meet once a week face to face or online and the number of sessions vary from client to client depending on the topics you want to explore, financial situation and the pace that you feel comfortable working at.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about how counselling works, or to arrange an appointment.
